The breathtaking vistas of Palo Duro Canyon are hard to rival, but the view from the 'Goodnight Peak Scenic Loop' overlooking the amphitheater hill at sunrise truly captured my heart. During my four-day visit in June 2023, I explored several trails, immersing myself in the canyon’s natural beauty. Choosing the perfect scene for my 60 x 48-inch painting was no easy task, as each perspective seemed more striking than the last. This particular view stood out, especially after a refreshing rain, when the wet earth enhances the vibrant reds, whites, and greens. At sunrise, the golden and orange hues of dawn transform the landscape into a glowing masterpiece, making it an unforgettable source of inspiration.
